Knots and Beads and What They Mean

How to Pray the Rosary

Most of our rosaries are a combination of knots and beads.  If you are accustomed to a more traditional jewelry style rosary, this could be confusing.  Below, we show a suggested way to pray our paracord rosaries.

1. At the crucifix:  Sign of the Cross, Apostles' Creed

2. At the first large knot: Our Father, or the Lord's Prayer

3. These 3 beads are for Hail Mary. Pray for Faith, Hope, and Charity

4. Next large knot: Glory Be, Announce First Mystery, Our Father

3. Hail Mary on each of 10 beads, meditate on mystery

5. Large knot: Glory Be, Fatima Prayer, Second Mystery, Our Father

3. Hail Mary on each of 10 beads, meditate on mystery

6. Large knot: Glory Be, Fatima Prayer, Third Mystery, Our Father

3. Hail Mary on each of 10 beads, meditate on mystery

7. Large knot: Glory Be, Fatima Prayer, Fourth Mystery, Our Father

3. Hail Mary on each of 10 beads, meditate on mystery

8. Large knot: Glory Be, Fatima Prayer, Fourth Mystery, Our Father

3. Hail Mary on each of 10 beads, meditate on mystery

9. Centerpiece knot area is the end of the rosary: Hail, Holy Queen, Rosary Prayer, Close with the Sign of the Cross.
