The WWI Battle Beads are a loyal reproduction of the historic 1916 Service Rosaries issued by the US Government during WWI.  We create these replicas right here in our California rosary studio.

The original WWI Service Rosaries are highly sought after by collectors. The fact that many of the vintage service rosaries still exist after being carried in battle is a testimony to their ruggedness.  We have faithfully duplicated these great rosaries with the same type of pull chain used on military dog tags.  We also use split rings instead of jump rings for a stronger and safer attachment between crucifix and chain. Split ring = no lost crucifix.

These rosaries are quite strong, do not tangle, are small and portable, and very easy to carry in your pocket. We continue to improve the quality, so now our chains are 100% Stainless Steel and twice as strong as our old version. The chains do not rust and are non magnetic.  Our chains also do not change to a brassy or copper brown color as the beads become worn with use.  The stainless chain we use is silver colored all the way through.

At 21" long, they can be worn around your neck but also bunch up small enough to be easily carried in your pocket.  We designed these specifically for our customers who wanted a smaller, functional and rugged rosary.

Although, the WWI Battle Beads™ rosary is rugged enough to carry in your pocket, we do include a leatherette zippered pouch for extra protection or storage.

As with all our rosaries, you may add optional medals. We recommend only adding up to 4. Some of our photos show an optional medal attached.
